STAT: Data Collection (Without GPS)
===================================

    1. Prepare a map image file for the test site.

    2. Relocate the AP to a fixed location and power it on using a portable battery.

    3. Plug in the Ethernet adapter into the laptop. Use a LAN cable to connect the Ethernet adapter and the STA. Power on the STA.

    4. Open the SWiSS application on the laptop and select STAT (Spatial Test Automation Tool):

    5. If asked to specify the GPS coordinates for the input map, press **CANCEL** for non-GPS manual operation.

    6. Select **Manual** and press **CONNECT** to start the measurement process.

    7. Specify the location of the AP by pressing the **SET** button on the AP location control panel. Click the AP location on the pop-up map page and press **OK**.

    8. If the GPS coordinates on the map image file are not applicable, specify the pixel-to-meter map scale by pressing the **SET** button on the Map Scale control panel. Click two reference points on the pop-up map page with a known distance between them. Specify the distance and press **OK**.

    9. Move to the first test location within the map. Wait for all the measurement values to update and **Right-click** the current location on the map. Move to the next location and repeat until all the data points are collected.

    9. To save the data points, access the menu item **File->Save Results** from the top menu bar. This will create a timestamped directory with the log files which can be visualized as heatmaps using the WAVE (WiFi Area Visual Evaluator) tool.

    .. warning::

       Please make sure that the logs are properly saved before you quit the program!
